What is Reiki?

As you know, human touch conveys warmth, serenity, love, caring and healing. When an animal is in pain, a dog or cat’s first instinct is to lick the pain area – for the same reasons that a person applies touch with her hands. This simple act is the basis for all touch healing techniques.

What makes Reiki different from other healing techniques is the attunement process. A person, who has been through the process of Reiki attunements, has experienced a very ancient system for fine-tuning the physical and etheric bodies to a higher vibratory level. Certain energy centres, also known as chakras, are opened to enable the person to channel higher amounts of life energy or Ki. Reiki is not a religion. This life force energy is the source of life itself.
